Bringing UGC 'De Pan' into the digital spotlight.

A club with over a century of heritage and a reputation among Europe's finest courses. Our challenge? Building a digital presence that reflects its understated character while connecting with a new generation of golfers around the world.

Some golf clubs have a story that deserves to be told. UGC 'De Pan' is certainly one of them. Known for its Harry Colt-designed course, remarkable natural surroundings and rich history, the club has long held a special place in European golf.

Yet even the most established clubs face a modern challenge: translating their identity into a digital world where first impressions increasingly happen online.

That is where our partnership began.

The challenge: Visibility without losing identity

When we first joined forces, UGC 'De Pan' already had an Instagram presence, but without a clear strategy, consistent management or a defined visual direction, its potential remained largely untapped.

The challenge, however, was never simply to become more visible. Quite the opposite. UGC 'De Pan' has always embraced its hidden gem character: understated, authentic and deeply rooted in the traditions of the game. A loud, overly promotional social media presence would never suit its identity.

At the same time, the club recognised the opportunities of a stronger digital presence. There was an ambition to attract more international green fee visitors, build a more engaged community around the club and give members and guests a closer look at the people, places and stories that make UGC 'De Pan' special.

The objective was clear: to grow its digital presence without compromising the very character that makes the club unique.

From heritage to digital identity

Our collaboration started with a clear ambition: to build a digital presence that does justice to the club's reputation, while reaching a broader, more international golfing audience.

We developed a consistent social media approach, bringing the course, its people and its traditions to life through carefully curated storytelling. From everyday moments on the fairways to the details that make UGC 'De Pan' unique, every piece of content contributes to a stronger and more recognisable digital identity.

Beyond social media management, we organised dedicated course photography, drone videography and a club-focused photoshoot. Each production was designed to capture a different side of UGC 'De Pan': the beauty of its course, its architectural character and the heritage woven into the club's DNA.

The objective was never to reinvent UGC 'De Pan', but to show the golfing world what makes it special.

A stronger presence. Measurable impact.

The results have extended beyond a more refined digital appearance.

Alongside these results, we have seen a substantial increase in interactions from both members and followers. The club's digital channels are becoming more than a place to share updates. They are becoming an extension of the club experience itself.

The growth in international green fee sales is particularly encouraging, reflecting the club's increasing appeal to golfers beyond the Netherlands. While multiple factors contribute to these results, they underline the commercial opportunities that come with a stronger digital presence.

And we are only getting started.

For Third Nine, this partnership represents exactly what we believe in: respecting the heritage of the game while helping remarkable golf clubs find their place in its digital future.
